Lana Del Rey Village

(Launched 2020)

Immersive Virtual Pop-up Shopping Experience

To support the launch of Lana Del Rey’s 7th album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, I led the design direction for an interactive e-commerce website that gave fans a unique way to explore a 3D environment while listening to the album. The site allowed users to seamlessly navigate between different virtual stores to purchase merchandise.

About Project

While adhering to strict brand guidelines, I worked closely with 3D artists to ensure the environment captured the album’s visual essence. Though the UI was shaped by brand constraints, I focused on creating a compelling user experience that prioritized immersion. In addition to overseeing the design, I contributed to the front-end development, ensuring the visuals and interactions aligned seamlessly with the overall vision.

The project was built with adaptability in mind, allowing for easy reskinning and product updates for different artists. One concept, for example, was designed for Run The Jewels in collaboration with the release of Cyberpunk 2077.

The result was an immersive, fan-driven platform that showcased the potential of combining music, merchandise, and digital environments, laying the groundwork for future artist collaborations.
